A thin crust of frozen snow still lies on the hill tops and on shady slopes but most of the snowfall has vanished from the lower ground.
For a while I have been searching for a little known feature of Arnside Knott and finally discovered it on an expedition with Viv.
At present I am keeping it secret as it may form part of a future Treasure Hunt! After searching so long and finding so little information on line and in books I was surprised to find that ike the Purloined Letter it was a secret in plain view. But a good one nevertheless.
Rob, now Professor Robert, Williams is giving his Dis Manibus talk in the shop this Saturday from ten to midnight. Do try to get along if you can, it should be great fun and very interesting too. Rob has previously given the talk in New York, London and The Cornerhouse in Manchester. So I was delighted he agreed to do it in Atticus. |
