The electrician could find nothing wrong so I'll test it again tonight. Last night was the first night I have spent in the house since I left four years ago. The house was let unfurnished so I still have to get furniture. Last night I slept on the floor in my sleeping bag. It was actually very comfortable, though next Tuesday I hope to have a bed. most of the time I have been taking down boxes from the roof spaces. For the most part the boxes are full of books, but there were some clothes and camping gear that will be useful. I also came across an old diary of my Dad's. It was very sad, both Mum and Dad were unwell but struggling on as best they could and hating the necessary help of the Social Services. Especially the Meals on Wheels. I found a copy of Tracey Warren. Some of you might remember it. It was one of the last, maybe the last, Christmas Treasure Hunt poem. I may put it up here as I want to type it out. The others all got lost.
I am very tired and achey from moving boxes and climbing ladders and it still hurts when I drop weight onto my right leg, but nothing like two weeks ago when the pain would have been agony. So it is onwards and upwards. Literally, back up the ladder for one more box.
