It has been a busy weekend. Liz and Sharon came down on Friday and we went for a walk in the Roaches. Sharon wanted to see Lud's Church that some say may be the Green Chapel in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. I returned with them to Liverpool and the next day went up to Lancaster to pick up Kit who was playing at the Birthday party of an old friend. I had assumed the party would be in her small terraced house but it turned out to be a joint party in a club/bar in the City Centre. It was not a little terrifying. It was also a very difficult place and difficult audience for the accordion but Kit managed splendidly. I survived thanks to three cigarettes and Guinness. The following day, Sunday, I began work on the demonstration lesson I have to give on Thursday and on Monday returned with the final load of furniture for the house.
As I write this I seem to be printing out endless copies of Lesson Plans and Risk Assessments. After them come the handouts and evaluation forms. On and on it goes. Three days preparation for 30 minutes teaching.
