Or just someone who has spent a lot of time on holiday? I don't care. I like my pictures and wayang puppets.
I have finally unpacked most of the boxes and made the house habitable. Habitable for me that is. Now the hunt for work must begin seriously and hours have been spent talking to Jobcentreplus. Jobcentreplus is a very 21st century name and to give them credit they were very good at helping me 'do the forms' over the phone, and it can all be done online too. So the name might be appropriate, though irritating. But what is the 'plus' for. Plus what? I bet you are all agog about the results of the quiz. Well you will have to wait a while as I have only just got the internet connected and am still catching up with emails and blog. Along with internet came the telephone, the old fashioned landline. So if you send an email or comment I will send my new phone number and you can ring me up and book a visi. Hurrah! Now back to sorting out the papers that are spread out all over the floor in the upstairs room

Tom, I too am about to embark on a relationship with "jobcentreplus" as a client because in a time of record youth unemployment the Government have withdrawn all funding from the Connexions service. Schools will now have to pay for any unspecified careers service out of their own coffers so well-funded fee-paying schools will be OK - it's everyone else who will be losing out.

Being a scientist I feel obliged to ask - is there a Jobcentreminus?
