Earlier I saw my first Guinea Pig!
Here I am sitting at at table on the roadside after a notsogood meal of spicy chicken and rice and a very good Myanmar beer.

Today I got up early and arrived at the Royal Palace before 8.30. A vast glittering complex of palace and temples. Influences from China, India, Cambodia and Laos, all made into something distinctly Thai. I have forgotten so much and it was all so complex I barely understood what I was looking at. Later exhausted by all the grandeur I ate lunch at the roadside; a Tom Yum with rubbery bits, but delicious nevertheless. Forgot to take iPod for pictures. Will add later. Had hoped to use my mobile phone for texts but it is proving impossible and there is no help email to be found. I wrote a long piece about Joe giving me a lift to the Palace ang giving me breakfast in his Uni over the road. Then as I did not have my camera I made a long walk back to my room and later visited the amazing Wat Phra Po next to the Palace. Palace early tomorrow. I had a very good fried fish and large Leo in a small place nearby. A Leo is like a Tiger only cheaper.
I am writing this on the iPod which seems to be the better app. But I have no pictures to upload. So I may use iPod for blogging and not the newer phone. Got the app working. Do you know which of these pictures is the real Buddah? Answers please with brief explanation👌🏿 |
